The official language spoken in Republic of Azerbaijan is Azerbaijani( is called Azərbaycan dili in Azerbaijan),also called Azeri, Azari, Azeri Turkish, or Azerbaijanian Turkish is a Turkish language belonging to the Oghuz branch,together with Anatolian Turkish (spoken in Turkey) and Turkmen (spoken in Turkmenistan).Also spoken in northwestern Iran(Iranian Azerbaijan) , Republic of Dagestan,south-eastern and eastern Georgia, north eastern Turkey and Ukraine.There are about 21 - 22 million native Azerbaijanian speakers.The Azerbaijani language has influences from Persian and Arabic languages.Aproximately 80 % of the Azerbaijan people are Azerbaijani speakers. The use of cyrillic alphabet started many disputes inside the country.It now uses a modified Roman alphabet incorporating symbols for unique Azerbaijani language sounds.
