Meaning of this name is unknown.

Dr Peter Overlack says: The name Overlack comes from a site on the Agger River near Cologne Germany, where the Teutonic Knghts were 'Burgvogten' ('castle guardians') in the service of the Duke of Kleve in the middle ages.As the castle was above the Agger river, the German of that- 'Oberagger'- changed in the passage of time to 'von Ovelacker' and by the early 17th century was Overlack. The aristocratic 'von' was lost with the death of the last legitimate Ovelacker in the late 1600s.The name is geographically restricted to the left-Rhine region.
