Meaning of this name is unknown.

Cinato says: My father's family comes from a village in Valsusa (Torino province)called Condove, where there is a place on the mountain called Sinati (in local dialect Sina') and my father used to tell us that the people with our family name most probably came from there, and started emigrating in the 18th century (specially to Lyon & Savoie) because the area was very poor and overcrowded (see list of Condove villages in http://www.chambradoc.it/condove/comuneDiCondove.page) Best regards to the big international Family where ever you are ;)
